DEADLY CRASH HITS MONROVIA–BUCHANAN HIGHWAY, ONE REPORTED DEAD, SEVERAL INJURED

GRAND BASSA, LIBERIA — SEPTEMBER 21, 2026: At least one person has reportedly died, while several others were injured in a serious road crash along the Monrovia–Buchanan Highway in District #2, Grand Bassa County.

According to reports, the crash involved several vehicles, including a white vehicle and a cargo truck that reportedly overturned along the roadside.

Residents, motorists, and other bystanders reportedly rushed to the scene following the crash to assist the victims. The injured were reportedly removed from the vehicles and transported to Buchanan Government Hospital for medical treatment.

Images from the scene reportedly show significant damage to some of the vehicles involved, while pieces of vehicles and goods from the overturned cargo truck were scattered along the roadside.

The incident reportedly drew a large crowd of residents and travelers as efforts were made to assist the victims and clear the highway.
